The Special Care Insurance Program offered through SeniorWorks allows residents to receive comprehensive in-facility care that includes preventative services, glasses, fillings, extractions, dentures, hearing aids, and emotional and behavioral well-being.  

These services are funded through the insurance premiums and do not require a co-payment or deductible for in-network services.  

Insurance premiums are an allowable deduction under Medicaid, reducing the out-of-pocket cost for both the eligible residents and the facility. 

A one-time authorization by DHS for the premium eliminates continual offset adjustments, while in-facility care reduces the liability and cost associated with transporting residents for off-site treatment.
